Top Fuel Dragsters and Nitro Funny Cars now to appear at the National Drag Racing Finals! Sept 27th/28th 2008
Santa Pod Raceway is delighted to announce a spectacular addition to the forthcoming National Drag Racing Finals on Sept 27/28. A Nitro Shoot-Out including night-time fuel session will now take place over the 2 day meeting comprising 6 Fuel cars – 3 Top Fuel Dragsters and 3 Fuel Funny Cars!
It is no secret that the 2008 season has been plagued with poor weather for motorsport in general. Drag Racing has seen very limited action from its premier race classes including everyones favourites – the awesome 300mph Top Fuel Dragsters and their Nitro cousins – Fuel Funny Cars.
Keith Bartlett (Santa Pod CEO) said "The weather has been hard on everyone this season but our fans still deserve to see some top flight drag racing action. As a gesture of good will we’ve just confirmed a showcase of some of the best Top Fuel cars to appear at our next drag racing event Sept 27/28. This is event will still host the finals for the National Championships but adding this Nitro shootout will make for something a bit special!"
Drag Racing action will come from over 20 classes of cars and bike including the ever popular 200mph Pro Mod doorslammers, drag bikes, nostalgia dragsters and, of course, the famous fire-breathing Jet Car! Off track entertainment will be hosted in the Live Action Arena and headlined by Podzilla the Monster Truck. Details on the National Finals page.

FIA "European Finals" - 4th to 7th September
Rain Off Announcement: Despite the best efforts of track crew, racing on Thursday, Friday and Saturday was also called off due to rain. Please therefore keep hold of your tickets as a credit value has been attributed to them.
Credit Values:
Thursday ticket: £12
Friday ticket: £32
Saturday ticket: £32
Saturday & Sunday ticket: £25
All 4 Days ticket: £35
Grandstand Seats: Full face value for Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Credit values are awarded on a pro-rata basis against the amount of racing that has been omitted caused by adverse weather and are at the discretion of the Event Director. Where a credit value has been given, the relevant admission ticket may then be redeemed at a future event for this amount or if the ticket is sent to the ticket office, the value can be redeemed against the cost of an advance ticket. The credit value/ticket will be valid for 12 months against future events up to and including the relevant event affected. No monetary refund. No disputes will be entered into. Tickets redeemed on a 1 for 1 basis only.
